Mayor DeBlasio and Confronting Mental Illness

Mayor De Blasio in a recent speech spoke about the cops in New York confronting mental illness in their everyday duties. What in God's name does that mean? There are probably over one million depressed New Yorkers on antidepressants. Should they be confronted by police?. That passage in his honor's speech should be retracted and rewritten for the next ditty. This is just another example of the Stigma; just throw around unedited rhetoric about the mentally ill, many of whom have recovered. When it comes to this group and slurs are rampant, silence is golden.
